We had made arrangements to take our dinghy to Harbor Vue
Marina this morning to see if it could safely be repaired. The marina is located just past the swing
bridge that only opens on the hour so we timed our departure for the 9 a.m.
opening.

Mink swimming |
While we were waiting at the gas dock at Harbor Vue, this
little critter swam by. Folks there told
Ricki that is was a mink
.Later in the morning the guy that was working on our dinghy
stopped by our boat to tell us it was not repairable and offered to drive me
over to take a look which I accepted.
Removing the ropes and straps from it was like taking the collar off
your favorite dog that had expired.

Hourly Traffic Jam |
We returned to the Town Dock on the next bridge opening at
10 a.m. and were lucky to get a T-dock spot since the current is really bad
here. Why they named it Little Current
instead of Bad Current is a mystery.
Apparently there had been an accident just before we got back involving
a boat trying to leave their slip.
Many boats line up on each side of the bridge to wait on the opening .

Scottie |
We had invited some of the loopers in the marina over for happy hour so we decided to walk into town for a little shopping for goodies to eat. This little girl had been in a breeding kennel and now was in a happy home.
According to the literature, this is the oldest chart store in Canada.

Town Dock - Quest in the center |
The grocery store is located on top of a big hill and that was our destination. This is a view from the top of the hill.

Pack Mule |
Long walk back down.

Happy Hour |
We enjoyed our friends Joe and Edie (Seaquel), Bev and Bruce (Paddy Wagon), Ralph and Celeste (Say Good-Bye). Seems like paths continue to cross.
