Waterside Marina, Norfolk, VA - 5/10/12

Last day of looper seminars.

Cruising Lake Michigan
Our day started with 1 1/2 hour of cruising Lake Michigan by a very experienced looper who spent over 8 weeks cruising the area.  This is what makes these sessions extremely educational when folks who have been there share their experiences.

Ricki and Bill & Joyce (Carried Away)
Bill and Joyce are our next door neighbors here at the marina.  Bill is a former owner of a sign company and helped me replace one of our Quest decals.  They have a beautiful 45 ft Californian that they recently purchased and have moved aboard full time.

Alltell to Verizon
One of the sessions involved question on anything that was not covered and we found out that Verizon does offer a package that is reasonable for voice calls while in Canada so we changed our cell service today.  We had considered just turning our cell phones off while there until we found this solution.  We still will not have e-mail unless we are in a marina with WiFi but we will only be in Canada for less than 45 days.

Waterside Concert
After dinner there was an inprompt music concert on the waterfront with Jeff (Vagabond) bringing his guitar out again. This type of activity is what makes these rendezvous special.

New Friend
Ricki took a liking to this little fellow and he spent the evening on her lap.

Tomorrow if the weather continues to look good, we will take off about 9 a.m. for Deltaville, VA a run of 4 or 5 hours up the bay.
