Old Mill Park, Campbellford, ON - 7/10/12

At 10 a.m. we joined Marc & Michelle along with Ross & Laura (The Zone) and walked over to the famous Dooher's Bakery.

I Know it seems like we are eating our way through Canada .... but we have to try all the new stuff!

Quest & Marc's Ark on the wall
After our feast at the donut shop, Ricki & Michelle took a walk through town, Marc went back to the boat to do some chores and I went looking for a hardware store.  My walk ended up being almost 10 miles before not finding what I need to fix a door latch.

Clear Water
The water is so clear along the canal that you can see down several feet.

Toonie ($2 dollar coin)
Campbellford is the home to the guy that invented the $2 coin so there is a statue of it in the park.

The ladies thought they were going in an antique store but is was the personal collection of this insurance guy who gave them a tour of his collection.  Needless to say, they were amazed at some of the items he had including things that belonged to the King of Russia.

My walk got me back to the boat before the ladies so I spent the afternoon washing the boat which it needed very badly after going through all the locks.

Happy Hour - Docktails
We now have about six boats tied to our wall so we all got together at 5:30 for the ritual.

Dinner on Quest with Marc & Michelle then bedtime.  Tomorrow is travel day and it looks like Hastings is the target.
