Norfolk, VA - 8/7/11

Due to all the partying in Waterside last night parking was difficult to find and we had to park in a garage that charged by the hour, so I got up early to move it and discovered the Japanese fleet getting ready to cast off. The following pictures are of the final boat leaving port.

Note the helicopter on the aft deck ....

We went to the beach for our final day here and after enjoying the sun with the most people I have ever seen on a beach, we collected water and sand for Ricki's crab. After a BLT on the boat, I discovered what I thought was her crab floating dead in his water. We both agreed and disposed of all the water, sand and the carcass. As Ricki was cleaning up all the shells she discovered her crab was still in his shell and what we thought was a dead crab was his molten skin. At 8:30 p.m. we were off again to the beach for more sand!

Tomorrow we will return the rental SUV, get a pump out and cast off for more adventure in the Chesapeake.
