Norfolk, VA - 8/2/11

Another day ... another road trip. We decided to go to Williamsburg and look around then go back to Virginia Beach today.

Colonial Williamsburg is a nice place to wander around. They have made part of it a mall by eliminating vehicular traffic. This area is several blocks long.

Most of the buildings have a small plaque indicating when it was built and if it had been restored.

Several gardens were along the street next to properties.

An Episcopal Church without a red door!

More gardens.

After walking around and having lunch we decided to go to the beach.

When we first saw this sign we couldn't figure out what it meant. Then as we drove around Virginia Beach we found them on many poles. Apparently they are trying to discourage foul language.

Ricki is sure her crab will grow up to be this big.

The beach.

A go-fast tour boat passed by.

King of the sea.

Earlier today 3 Japanese ships came into the harbor. These ship mates were next to us at Joe's Crab Shack for dinner. They were having a great time and became friendly with us.

So friendly that Huen provided a round of drinks and joined them.

Of course they had their own drinking games which we enjoyed.

This was just another enjoyable day with our friends, Huen and Cricket.
