We left the boat shortly after 3 p.m. for the 26 mile ride to Barefoot Marina & resort where they have been since leaving us last weekend.
The marina is very nice and very reasonable but they are thinking about moving across the river to Barefoot Landing to be closer to stuff. After stopping at Alabama Theater to pick up our tickets for the show, we went to the Chesapeake House for another great dinner. The mechanic did call while we were eating and we told him where to find the hidden key so he could take the old part off. Sounds encouraging!
This guy was swimming just outside our window along with many turtles. The servers threw a bunch of hush puppies in the water and we were entertained watching the alligator and turtles chase them down.
The nature photographer on our boat could not resist taking pictures of the fish tank in the lobby of the restaurant.
We went back to the theater and waited for the doors to open. The line of cars going into Barefoot Landing was very misleading because we had no trouble finding a parking place close to the theater.
The show was awesome! It was a musical with all kinds of music in a Broadway style performance. When we left the theater around 10 p.m. and was leaving the parking area, we watched a fireworks display that was set off over the lake in the middle of Barefoot Landing. After dropping Skip & Barb off at their marina, we headed back to Wacca Wache Marina and got to the boat at 11:30. Another great day with our friends.
Tomorrow we need to do some chores around the boat and laundry but I am sure we will find time to explore some more.
