Independence Day found us doing a few chores around the boat before evening. While I took a load of laundry to the laundromat, Ricki cleaned the inside of the boat. In the afternoon Cricket came over and helped Ricki put our 4th of July decorations on the outside of the boat then we met Barb & Skip on Lucky One for dinner.
Later former St. Marys residents John & Sylvia along with daughter Sheri, Craig and son Benjamin came to the boat to spend the evening on Quest along with Moor $tuff & Lucky One.
July 5 .....
Ricki & Cricket spent the day shopping and enjoying a tour of the city.
Many beautiful structures were on the tour.
July 6 ....
Due to medical issues, Lucky One left the dock at first light this morning returning to Savannah, a 140 mile run. We certainly will miss their company and hope they are able to join us again down the road.
Ricki & I decided to return to the market area downtown and shop for awhile. As we left the tide was at its highest. This is a shot of the last set of docks going into the parking lot.
Low tide outside the marina break water wall on our walk from our slip toward the inner harbor.
After our shopping trip we came back to the boat and undecorated it and got the package ready to send home. Our plans for tomorrow are to go about 35 miles to McClellanville, SC for the night then on to Georgetown Friday. I have a new A/C unit for the salon waiting for installation at Georgetown. This was a bad time for the unit to decide to quit with all the heat down here.
