We were the 3rd boat going out the skinny channel toward the river.
As we approached the river, John gave us a history lesson about this monument to the battle of Yorktown.
This part of the river is the training ground for the Coast Guard and we must have seen a dozen of these little boats running around.
We traveled 39 miles to Doziers Regatta Point Marina in Deltaville. About half way there we lost pressure in our starboard transmission AGAIN so we ran the rest of the way on one engine. The west winds did pick up and gave us a port beam wave which rocked and rolled us pretty good. After we got to the marina we were told that this is common on the bay and this should be considered a good day. The marina gave us the name of a good mechanic and he was here within half an hour and will be back tomorrow morning to replace the fitting that failed on the transmission. This is the same fitting that was replaced between Murrells Inlet and Myrtle Beach which apparently wasn't sealed good.
We all spent the afternoon in the pool and then a cookout before retiring to the captain's lounge to watch TV.
Our position is: N 37 33.570 W 76 18.772
