Another day of waiting for the front to pass through. During one of the times it was not raining I walked up to the lounge to see what time it opened thinking that the NASCAR race would be on today and since we only had 5 channels on our boat TV and they were all religious channels, that seemed like a good idea. Walking back I passed a houseboat on our dock and inquired from the couple sitting on their deck where a laundromat could be found because we had a boat load of laundry to do. They indicated there would probably be one in town and that we could use their vehicle if we wanted. This just proves that boaters are a friendly bunch and of course we took them up on the offer and spent a few hours doing our laundry.
We got back mid afternoon and just relaxed until dinner when we went to the marina restaurant with Carl and Glenda (Gold Leaf). Another great night with enjoyable folks.
Tomorrow we are leaving at 7:30 a.m. to meet Mike and Kathy for our 70 mile run to Peoria. We have reservations at the Illinois Valley Yacht Club (IVY Club) for Monday night.
A little bit of information about our trip and blog:
We have had over 49,000 views of our blog since we started.
We have covered over 7,300 miles so far with another 1,300 to go.
