We left Hamm's at 6:30 a.m. preparing for a 93 mile run to Logston Tug service one of the only places to stay along the river.

Leaving Hamm's Marina |
The current was a little weird as we left the marina which pushed us into the barge at the entrance. The carp were jumping and one actually landed in QK's dinghy. They are very thinned skinned and leave a mess.

How did he get there? |

Asian Carp Fishermen |
The carp respond to noise so the fishermen beat a drum to attract them.
|
IVY Club Marina |
We wanted to stay here but the water was reported to be too skinny for us to get in.
|
Peoria |
I think this was some sort of a power plant but it sure was putting a lot of hot water into the water.
|
Floating Lock |
We were given the option of tying to the wall or floating through the lock. We floated giving the first mate a break.
|
Wrong Side of the Greens |
This tug was definitely on the wrong side of the markers and had stern and bow anchors out to hold it.

Logston |
We got to Logston Tug service late afternoon and tied to a barge. First mate did not have any big girl panties clean so stayed on the boat while I made my way across the barges to pay the $1 per foot ... no services, for the night.
