As we were leaving she took one final shot of the light house and our cruising buddies on Moor $tuff.
It took us about 2 1/2 hrs to get back into the ICW, across Biscayne Bay and into the Miami harbor. The next six pictures are coming into Miami. We saw buildings, big cruise boats, a funky statue of a guy blowing a conch shell and a picture of the Beatles on the side of a building.
We arrived at Sunset Harbor Yacht Club around 1 p.m. having traveled just 23 miles, but boy were they rough miles with 30 mph gusts off our starboard beam. This little boat is off our starboard tie.
Lunch and / or dinner was in a place recommended by the marina secretary. It was an incredible burger and very tasty. Barb's birthday is tomorrow and I think this was just a little preamble of gifts from Skip.
We walked by this little jewel and knowing how our granddaughter in Pennsylvania wants one ...
This is Ricki's new "farm" of hermit crabs. After picking up shells at Boco Chita she decided to wash them off and put them on a paper towel to dry. A little while later 4 of them had moved around so she decided to make them a little beach with sand out of a playground here and some salt water from the harbor. Maybe they will grow big enough for a meal!!
Don't forget to visit the Maurice Gibb memorial Park. Water is still rising here. 35' now prediction is for 39+' whitch will put it over the river end of the bridge.
ReplyDeleteI am sure Syd would love that car. But she is going to have to save a lot of pennies.
