Marathon, FL - 3/6/11

Late this morning as I was working on computer stuff in the salon and Ricki was still in the stateroom, I heard someone outside the boat call our name. Floating behind our boat in their dinghy was John and Carol Sagel (Seas2Day) that are currently on a mooring ball in the harbor along with another couple from their boat club in Cincinnati. They were out exploring the harbor and we all agreed to meet at Berdine's Chiki Tiki club for lunch. The best cheeseburgers ever were ordered by 5 of the 6 of us then we had deep fried key lime pie for dessert. What a treat.

Earlier we had received a call from Bill and Charlotte Langford (Prescious Time) who are at Sombrero Dockside a couple miles away that they planned to dinghy down to us in the afternoon. We got another call that they were having outboard motor problems and had to turn back then a couple hours later they showed up by taxi. While waiting for them Ricki enjoyed her time on the bow of the boat reading a book.

Tomorrow we will be leaving Marathon and head for Key Largo then on thru Miami. It is time to move again since we have been in this paradise since January 29th.
